Of all the successful blogs on the Internet, hundreds more have failed. Running a blog is like running a business website. Unless you are willing to put the time in and work it seriously, you won’t be blogging long.

That is not to say that the failed bloggers weren’t serious about blogging. largely, new bloggers aren’t prepared for the work that goes into creating a successful blog. Just building the blog doesn’t mean that people will necessary come to you. You pursue the audience and give them a reason to see what you have to say.

1.    Fresh Content – no one wants to visit a blog day after day and see the same posts. Update your blog content at least twice a week. This will be easier if you write several posts ahead of time and upload them at the proportionate times.

2.    Article Marketing – the niche you’ve chosen for your blog is one that interests you. If it is interesting you will spend more time doing it. Create content not only for your blog but also to be submitted to article directories. Use the resource box to promote your blog so people can find you.

3.    Social Networking – these sites are everywhere. Join Facebook, MySpace, Squidoo, Twitter or a dozen others and make connections. You can join groups of likeminded people who are also bloggers or enterprisers.

4.    Viral Marketing – this is where you spread the word about your blog. Talk to friends, family and even strangers. Give out business cards that have your blog address on them.

5.    Use RSS Feeds – RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication.” Readers can subscribe to your feed and get email updates when new content is posted. It is an easy way for them to keep up with your blog without spending all day online.

6.    Submit Blog to Search Engines – doing this allows your blog to be graded. Google and Yahoo! are two of the most popular search engines you want to crawl your blog pages. It doesn’t warrant top ranking, though. You’ll have to do a little more work for that.

7.    Joining Forums – as a blogger you are a budding entrepreneur. Right now you are marketing yourself to find traffic and then profit. Become a member of business forums, work at home forums and others to meet new people and share ideas. You can add a link to your blog in the signature line so others can find you.

Scream - Day 29, Year 2

For a long time I was able to write content for my web sites but once I reached a certain point I just had too many sites to write content for. That’s when I started looking at article directories and networks for good but relevant content I could use on some of those sites.

I use EzineArticles.com to get great content for my niche web sites. I am happy with them but I can only find so much at any given time, so I needed other places to get content and that is when I came across AMA or Article Marketing Automation.

Article Marketing Automation does two main things:

  1. One Way Links: As a paying member you can write articles with 3 links back to your web sites.
  2. Web Site Content: As a paying or non-paying member you can accept and publish content to all the sites you list with AMA

Originally I joined the AMA network to use articles from there, not to publish my own, that came later. My beef with AMA isn’t about getting my articles published, it’s about using the articles presented for me to accept or reject.

IMPORTANT POINT: I feel it’s necessary that I point out a very positive aspect of AMA before I go all negative on them. Okay, I love the idea of using Article Marketing Automation or My Article Network to publish my own articles. I get lots of articles published and get lots of one way links back to my blogs. They are great for getting those one way links and worth every penny I pay.

7 Reasons I Don’t Like Article Marketing Automation

First let me explain 5 things I expect in an article I find in my niche categories.

  1. Article content has to be relevant to the niche or it’s spam
  2. Articles should be written in proper English or people leave your site
  3. An article needs to link to relevant content as we are not allowed to remove links
  4. Article must not link to duplicate content
  5. An article has to belong to that member and can not be stolen from other directories

I don’t think that is asking too much. And now on to why I don’t care so much for the articles from AMA.

  1. I reject more than 90% of articles. That’s very time consuming when one has 30 web sites.
  2. Too many authors rewrite the same article too many times.
  3. Rejected articles just keep reappearing to accept or reject again.
  4. Too many authors spam every category.
  5. Support does not appear to read or care about the feedback given daily.
  6. Too many authors write about one topic and then link to non related pages.
  7. Many authors have English as a second language so their content is very poor quality.

So, I don’t just reject articles for the sake of rejecting them. My first priority has to be my web site content and if the articles are not going make my site better why would I use them.

In conclusion: Article Marketing Automation or My Article Network is a great way to get one way links to your sites and increase your rankings and number of visitors. However if you are using this network to populate your sites with content you must be patient and very diligent before accepting them.

As the acclAMAtion for the blogs has increased, many people have deemed them as unreliable sources for info. This is as lots of blogs are created by normal each day folk. But in the same aspect enterprises will also make a blog to get more traffic and make money online.

So how do we are going about fixing the untrustworthy factor? Well in order to do this all bloggers should go by a natural set of blogging rules. These are rules that aren’t in any way hard and fast or anything apart from they are basic rules that anybody should follow. Almost all of your rules should follow the code of ethics guiding principles as code of ethics are a very important set of ethics to follow. In applying the rules to your blog there are five basic rules you should apply to your own site.

1. Facts

Ensure you test your facts before posting anything on your blog. Do some research on your topic and make sure the information that you have is right. Doing basic research can save you from posting fake information. When you post fake info you’ll look bad and you’ll lose visitors to your set. Even after you have posted your blog check and confirm everything is right. The more you take a look at your facts the better off you will be.

2. Copyright Laws

Do not by any means walk into a site and simply copy and paste their information into your internet site. This is against copyright statutes and can get you into some major legal issues. Everything that’s contained on the internet is copyrighted, which a lot of folks do not realize. You are better off creating your own info and avoid any illegal misuse of copyright laws.

3. Implications

think about the implications about what you are posting. Once you push the post button there will be no way to switch your words. If your post may cause consequences against someone later do not post it. Choose all of your words thoroughly in order not to hurt any one’s feelings.

4. Comments

Monitor all the comments that are placed on your blog page. Put restrictions on the sort of comments your readers are able to leave. This way they won’t leave a comment that might offend somebody or some place and cause oppressive feelings because it is going to be you, not them, who will lose the visitors.

5. Credit

You have to be bound to provide credit to any resources you use. If you fail to do this step you’ll fall into the rule number 2 of copyright laws and you’ll be deemed unethical.

These are just five common and basic guidelines that are out there but there are many more . Do some research and discover which rules might apply to your Internet site.

Five Pitfalls in Trying to Earn Money Blogging

Akha couple in northern Thailand. The husband ...

If you think you have the ability to write blogs that can attract the interest of readers, then go ahead and create a blog, and start making money with it.

A number of people think the money making part is some form of desecration of what blogging ought to be. But most writers gave been more liberal and practical in the ways they go. After all, blogging for money is just like being paid for any regular job except, of course, that you own your time and business and you’re not held responsible to anyone but yourself.

Your readers are your bosses but, then again, you need not file reports and comply with freakish deadlines. When you blog, it’s just you, your reader, and what you put in between so each of you could have a fuller experience of each other as your blog lives on. So what’s going to make your blog live on and make profit?

Absolutely, researching on the Internet about how to blog can make a huge contribution, but remember that there are no limits to what you can do. There are, on the other hand, five things you can not do if you want that blog to work and make money.

First, do not topic-hop because this is a sure and proven blog killer. Readers read a post because it’s motivating and they’re likely to return looking for the same topic on your future posts. If you’ll surprise them with another topic and yet another topic on their subsequent visits, it’s just not going to work. They’ll almost certainly lose interest and move on to the next blog that shows more consistency.

Second, do not make the mistake of thinking that a blog updated once or twice a month is good enough. No matter how great your content, freshness still counts a lot not just to blog readers but even to search spiders which love to index constantly updated blogs.

When you post on your blog regularly, that is a sure sign to people that you are there, a real, live human being sharing a piece of yourself to your them because you actually want to connect with them and not just because you need to give in to your sporadic urges to blog.

In other words, when you are always updating your posts, people know that you want them to read you and you’re not just using blogging as a writing exercise or a personal rehabilitation of sort.

Third, do not be ignorant to the reading world. By all means, reply to people’s emails or comments. Apparently, this allows you to create a relationship with them that is beyond their reading. When you reply to them, it is an indication that they are important to you and this naturally creates a sense of devotion.

Fourth, do not think that people come to a blog expecting to read a novel. You certainly can’t post something that long or you’ll simply lose steam. Keep your posts rich in detail but brief and concise. In blogging, there is no room for superfluous words.

Direct to the point is most appreciated. Fifth and last, do something unique on your blog. If you’re competing with millions of bloggers from all corners of the web, you’d better put something in there that makes you a cut above the rest. In other words, be unique and offer what others have not tried.

Explore what others have not tested. Whatever you come up with can, in fact, be your main selling point. And then how to make money blogging won’t be such a big question anymore. Just keep in mind that to make that blog make money, you don’t only need to be aware of what to do. Very important is to know the possible pitfalls that can make you stop short of achieving your goals.

A ton of time is spent by bloggers attempting to urge alternative blogs to link to them. A heap of congestion can be gained by conducting this with blogs that are both connected to your theme and blogs that have a ton of readers. If you would like a complete system for using paid traffic that will help bring massive sales to your campaigns read my PPCLoophole Review.

This can sometimes be terribly difficult for brand spanking new bloggers as a result of they do not nevertheless have an adequate amount readers or page rank to concern the larger blogs.

Speak to other bloggers who are in the same position as you right now and enlarge a lasting relationship. You link to them, they link to you and as each of your blogs grow those links will pay off for you.

Several individuals find a blog they like, then can take possible amendments from that blog concerning other blogs they may like. So somebody goes to a blog you’ve got traded links with and likes them, then they follow your link and if your matter is sweet, they include you to their reading list. The same occurs in reverse for the one you link back to.

Sooner than you think that each of your blogs can become ones {that a} ring of people read. The additional blogs you are doing this with, the more your circle will in due course get bigger.

Do not be too involved with page rank. Several of the established blogs with good page rank don’t seem to be going to link to you till you build up your readership at least a little. There’s a raison d’être for this and it is not vanity, although it may feel that means at times.

The rationale is that a lot of people begin blogs, however a small number of individuals truly grow to be bloggers. Blogging daily requires a dedication that a lot of don’t seem to be eager to make. The reputable blogs might link to you irrespective of page rank and traffic problems if they see you are devoted to writing your blog and turning into a blogger.

They don’t need to link to somebody’s blog that may or may not be around next month. It’s a dAMAge to their readers and a trouble to get rid of your link afterward or try out and catch sight of if you are really nevertheless blogging. They are doing not have the time to hold your hand on it.

If they take a look at your blog and you have got been posting to it every day for fairly awhile, say six months at least, then they may give you a serving to hand and welcome you to the blogosphere. If you would like a complete blueprint for blogging and link popularity check out my PPCLoophole Bonus package.

Put it into your agenda to create a post every separate day, whether or not it has to be a brief one because of lack of time. When there is a time you recognize you’ll not be ready to post for a few days, create a post for each of these days and if you are by means of wordpress you’ll timestamp the posts thus that each one seems on the planned day. That is one way to stay your blog fresh for your readers every day.

Another tip is, as we have a tendency to post to our blogs on a daily basis, there are occasions when you have 2 or 3 things you want to blog, but if you’re finding it arduous to post daily, timestamp the second or third post for different days instead of posting them right now except it is one thing time sensitive. Attempt to remain two or three days ahead thus that if you miss each day, it won’t dAMAge you.

If you are making use of blogger or different blogging software that does not have the timestamp characteristic, save them as drafts, then log in when you have got very little time and post your draft. If you have got time to blog a post, then put the draft there until you would like it.

Don’t let yourself get annoyed if everyone does not need to link to you right away. If you’re blogging sensible contents, you may find they’re linking to you previous to you even ask! If you would like more information on blog marketing and affiliate marketing techniques please read my blog.
